These two are running into their future together with gusto – literally! Jess and Torre are equal parts cute and competitive, and their waterfront engagement session was chock full of vibrant energy. They’re both so photogenic and playful, so it was easy to get these great candids while they simply enjoyed an evening at Aspinwall Riverfront Park.

 

We didn’t have this session planned, but I had a sudden opening on a Friday. So, I checked out my giveaway applicants and these two popped up! On a whim, I randomly messaged Jess to see if she had an engagement session planned. They didn’t have anything in the works, so she quickly found a new outfit, helped Torre coordinate, and away we went! We had a blast making a day out of it.

 

While we were out near the dock, I told them to hold hands and laugh while they ran toward me. Most couples kind of giggle and saunter their way down. I wasn’t expecting them to charge at me full speed. I started clicking as fast as my fingers could go. When they reached me, Jess exclaimed, “Sorry! We’re competitive.” From there on out I knew the session was going to be amazing!

 

Those action photos ended up being some of the best because their faces just radiate happiness – they’re 100% real, and I love it! It’s easy to see that Jess and Torre have a good time together, and I have a feeling these photos will make them laugh for years to come.

 

Sometimes the unexpected on-a-whim sessions end up being my favorites. After seeing how Jess and Torre’s photos turned out, I just knew I had to share their spirited session on the blog.

Jess and Torre will tie the knot in April 2022, and I hope they enjoy every minute of their sweet engagement year together. I couldn’t be happier for this special couple and I can’t wait to photography their wedding.
