Intimate Wedding at Slate Studio | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

There’s just something about an intimate wedding surrounded by close friends and family members that makes my heart melt. For this gorgeous small Pittsburgh wedding at Slate Studio, every moment felt up close and personal, filled with sweet emotions and tons of love.

Brittany and Zac worked with Wanderlust Weddings and Community Flower Shop to plan their romantic wedding day. The design included lots of candles and greenery, which paired perfectly with the exposed brick of the industrial-chic space.

While the setting was certainly beautiful, their story is even sweeter. Together, they have an amazing little girl named Riley. She was so adorable throughout the day that I just couldn’t get enough of those pouty lips and heart-melting eyes. So much love just radiates from their family of three, and I enjoyed every minute of photographing them.

During the ceremony, one of Brittany’s brothers walked her down the aisle while the other officiated. Brittany and Zac have such incredible family dynamics—both sides are so close and connected. After exchanging “I do’s” and sealing them with a kiss, this fun crew was ready to celebrate!

But first, Brittany and Zac wanted to get some outdoor family photos and couple’s portraits. It was a balmy 92 degrees on their wedding day, but we used the buildings for shade to block out the harsh sun. We also utilized an empty parking garage area and went to the top level for some amazing rooftop shots overlooking the city. I love the urban vibes and how they chose to show off their city and personality in their wedding photos.

Urban Industrial Wedding Design

Given the intimate studio space, Brittany and Zac chose to keep the décor minimal and modern. I loved the ghost chairs, transparent boxes, and subtle signage. It gave way to a clean, uncluttered look while still offering some dimension by creating levels and layers. Stunning!

All in all, Brittany and Zac’s wedding day was filled with love and memories—and, of course, lots of dancing. And I know their future together will just get sweeter with time. Congratulations to the happy couple. Cheers, Brittany and Zac! I wish you and your amazing family the very best.
