The Art of Elegance: Crafting a High-End Wedding That Exceeds Expectations

When it comes to gorgeous, elegant affairs, Ben and Celeste’s April wedding at Bella Sera, Pittsburgh was one for the books. From the simplistic, stunning floral arrangements to the dazzling reception details, every inch of their day exuded an air of effortless sophistication. Many couples hope to achieve this high-end wedding look for their big day, but the cost of the aesthetic can be daunting. Luckily, there are plenty of ways, big and small, to attain that look of luxury without breaking the bank.

3+ Ways to Achieve a High-End Wedding Aesthetic

Hire a wedding coordinator, planner, or designer.

The first step to bringing your vision to life is bringing in a professional who knows how to make it a reality. Whether that is a wedding coordinator, planner, or designer depends on what support you need for planning and executing your big day. Unsure of what each provides? Check out this article to learn more about the specifics of each vendor. Having a pro on your team will help you achieve your aesthetic while staying on track with your budget. (Yes, hiring a professional may actually end up saving you money!)

The Venue Sets the Tone.

Choosing the right venue is key to achieving a high-end wedding aesthetic. More on decor specifics in a minute, but the idea is “less is more.” A venue that is striking on its own will set the scene for your celebration. It is much easier to find a venue that matches your vision instead of trying to transform a space that doesn’t (it’s also generally cheaper!).

Consider Minimalist Décor.

When it comes to decor, you don’t have to go all out to achieve a luxurious look! Keeping décor to a minimum for a clean, modern, timeless look works just as well. Here are a few ideas to consider:

Arrange monochromatic florals and greenery. Celeste and Ben executed this flawlessly with loose, sweeping greenery and white flowers. The look was simple but beyond beautiful.

Use black as an accent color. Don’t be afraid to use touches of black! Black is perfect for a bold, clean look that won’t ever go out of style.

Formal attire for guests. Love the look of a black-tie affair? Make it a black-tie affair. Instant elegance!

Simple signage. Use mirrors or acrylic sheets for menus, table numbers, and more. Acrylics are chic and elegant and play into a minimalist style.

Accents, accents, accents. The smallest details can pack the biggest punch for getting that luxury style. Think: votives, simple stationary, metallic accents, and ghost chairs.

Add pops of texture. Mix in different textures (velvet, leather, wood, etc.) where you can—tablescapes, chair accents, drapery, venue décor, and more. You can elevate the space by simply adding some texture or textiles.

You are the Best Part of Your Wedding Day!

Amongst all the stress planning can bring, remember: this day is a celebration of you and the one you love most with all of your nearest and dearest. The details are fun, but don’t let them get in the way of having the most magical day!
